Agua Pillow Case
Agua Pillow Case
Volcán de Agua towers over the landscape of the Guatemalan Highlands. Also known as Hunapú (Place of Flowers) or Jun Ajpu' (One Hunter), Volcán de Agua is believed to have once destroyed the original capital of Guatemala in the mid-1500s. While Agua has a violent past, in recent times it has been dormant and has even been the site of a peaceful demonstration in January 2012 when 12,000 Guatemalans joined hands and created a circle around the peak in protest against domestic violence. This unique history is woven in with the blue and yellow threads of the Agua pillow case.
