Rax is the k’iche word for green, the color of nature. Many Ancient Mayans were farmers and thus nature was central to their lives. Known for advanced farming techniques like irrigation, the Mayans flourished during a time when many others were struggling throughout the world.
Nature and the four elements: earth, water, air, & fire inspired the Rax Collection. All the pillow cases in this collection were woven on a foot loom by talented weavers from the highlands of Guatemala and handcrafted by Margarita from El Valle del Palajunoj.
