Amanecer means Dawn. The sun is highly regarded by the Mayan civilization. A symbol of power, the sun represents ascension & clarity of mind. The sun appears during the time of productivity & is associated with being the light of knowledge. There is a belief that awareness will be increased & that enlightenment will be facilitated while the sun is in our presence. All of these products are handmade by K'iche weavers using traditional weaving techniques, 100% cotton, & using a backstrap loom. Every piece is unique & requires time & dedication.
