Amanecer means Dawn. The sun is highly regarded by the Mayan civilization. A symbol of power, the sun represents ascension and clarity in the mind. The sun appears during the time of productivity and is associated with being the light of knowledge. There is a belief that awareness will be increased and that enlightenment will be facilitated while the sun is in our presence.
